Guidelines

Through workshops, flowcharts and documents, we are elaborating better guidelines for choosing a hackathon.

The Hack Code of Conduct is an internationally developed document that attempts to help foster psychological safety at hackathons. This is linked to by default in Dribdat (see below). During the workshop on fair co-creation at DINAcon 2018, we discussed time-bounded collaborative events like hackathons common to many technical communities (image shown above). The Opendata.ch Guidelines are often referred to by hackathon organizers, and contain a summary of basic expectations for open hackdays.

An overview of these various sources can be found at https://github.com/dribdat/docs/wiki/Guidelines

All attendees, sponsors, partners, volunteers and staff at our hackathon are required to agree with the Hack Code of Conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to ensure a safe environment for everybody.
