Is the short challenge description in EN for inclusion in the ranking question correct?

I read through the challenge materials. Is a developer implicitly needed for all? It seems like data analysis is needed for all—but then I assume everyone coming is trained in data analysis anyhow—so maybe neither of these (developer/ data analysis) need to be listed? Is that correct? Can I skip developer and data analysis?

The other relevant skills were: design, geodata, network analysis, data dashboards, statistics, and web-scraping/document parsing. Are these OK? Do you see others? I wasn’t sure about collapsing web-scraping and document parsing as they are different things and not always needed together.

Similarly was unsure about statistics… seems over time more and more people trained in data manipulation and descriptives without statistics… but I also sort of mentally bundle these together.

There is some ambiguity one cannot avoid. For example, several challenges need simple descriptive work with GIS … but there is one that sounds like it needs interpolation with geodata. I bet many people can work with GIS but would not have the skills to do the interpolation. Anyhow… it seems to specific/weird to separate out.. There are probably other things like that—but maybe I don’t recognize them (because I know more about geostatistics than say data dashboards….)

All attendees, sponsors, partners, volunteers and staff at our hackathon are required to agree with the Hack Code of Conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to ensure a safe environment for everybody.
